I became a doctor, considering that I could improve the quality of life and general health of the people if I put my effort to acquire knowledge, experience and skills in an effective and efficient way in the branch of medicine, which led me to specialize in the anesthesia. This has made me capable of diagnosing and treating any problem or medical incident that arises during a surgical intervention or in the period immediately post operative. As a perioperative specialist, I take care of the patient's medical care throughout his surgical process. This includes the study and preparation of the same before the intervention (pre-operative), the suppression of pain and the monitoring of vital signs during surgery (intraoperatively), and the continuation of this care once the intervention is finished, until the Patient is able to return to their respective room (post operative), which supports the work of the team of surgeons. As a result of that vocation, I keep in continuous preparation and updating of knowledge, to be up to date on the advances of this field of anesthesia and analgesia.
